In the Lords Hands

You could say that this past Wednesday was a faith building day for our family as we were reminded that we are all watched over and comforted in times of trial. My brother, 14 year old Luke, was terribly sick. My parents thought that he had a bad flu and was suffering from the chills, but as he started to complain that his heart had been beating hard for more than 24 hours they went to the ER. He was monitored and immediately transferred to a more specialized zone where his heart had to be shocked back into rhythm. The doctors believe his heart was in heart attack mode for many hours, and amazed that he was alive. His heart had been pumping so fast that it was unable to preform normal function and had literally stopped producing blood, his skin was tight to his body as his body basically was shutting down. Later he related the experience from the night before telling my parents that he felt as if he were going to heaven. The doctors believe that he has a short circuit in his heart and he will be having an operation at Primary Children's Hospital this week. What a marvel modern day medicine is. We love you Luke and pray for your recovery.

Congrats Hailey and Jared

My little sis, Hailey, finally got her ring, Jared actually was very timely but Hailey was extremely anxious as she is head over heals in love. I simply love that he put her to work all morning and then took her fishing so she was as dirty as can be for the special occasion! We are so thrilled for the two of you, and know that you will be so happy. What a year for weddings this will be 3 within six months for our Hyatt/Crozier family.

A Fun & Busy Weekend

Yeah! Tax season if officially over and we were able to spend some time with Ross this weekend. My sister Hailey drove up from Logan on Thursday and we had a great time catching up. We went to Planet Kid Thursday and the Boise Zoo on Friday. Dallin was standing right behind the lion, poking at the glass, when all of a sudden the lion powerfully pawed at him. All the visitor jumped back, all except Dallin, he stood wide mouth and laughing at the unexpected moment. Saturday Ross and I spend the day with our realtor and put an offer on a home, it could take up to two months to find out if we'll be able to purchase it but we are hopeful. To top it off the weather was absolutely beautiful and we enjoyed a long walk to the park! Thanks for coming up Hay, can't wait to see you again.

Easter Weekend

We had a great Easter Weekend with the Hyatt Family. Julie and Michael were with us at Mom and Dad's and although our stay was short we were able to get in a couple games and we had fun with the kids on Easter. Getting the Easter Eggs ready was so fun, Dallin and I had a good time, the yellow eggs were his favorite and he loved his Car's stickers! Reed slept soundly through the festivities and simply looks perfect lying on his little tummy. Easter morning proved to be a success, the Easter Bunny did well as Dallin was thrilled with his fishing game and Reed was simply his happy self - not quite knowing what was going on. Mom and Dad got the kids some summer pj's and they look so cute in them. I would have to say that the hightlight was the joy in the Easter Egg Hunt. Each time Dallin found an egg he would get so excited and when he found a plastic egg filled wiht jelly beans he would jump up and down happy proclaiming to the world, "jelly beans jelly beans jelly beans".

Weddings and Baby Micah

These last two weeks were wonderful. We were able to see so many family members and we thoroughly enjoyed it! It all started Wednesday with Beth and Brad flying into Boise to spend the night with us. Thursday we all gathered at the Hyatt's home for the weekend. Julie and Michael Vasquez were married on Friday, she made a beautiful bride, and they looked so good together. The weather was beautiful and everything went smoothly. The reception and open house were great, it was especially fun to see some of our old acquaintances from Twin Falls! That Sunday Brad and Whitney blessed their baby, Cameron. He is now 3 months old and adorable, it was so great to be with them on their special day. That night we had to say good bye to Ross and Beth as they went back to Boise and the next day the boys and I drove to UT, accompanied by Brent, it was so nice of him to ride down to Salt Lake with us, and it made the drive seem shorter, my Mom happened to be in Heber with my Dad for meetings and she drove the rest of the way with me. We spent the rest of the week getting ready for company from KS and my sister's wedding. We frosted 200 sugar cookies, made 150 cupcakes and 200 brownies, and gathered a few more decorations for the event. Julie had strep and was able to take it easy you could say while this all went on. I even had the privilege of doing all the flowers for the wedding; I did her bridal bouquets, the boutiners, the corsages, the table arrangements, and the cake flowers, it was so much fun and most of all she like them. Julie and Russel are a great couple and compliment one another on so many levels. I am so happy that she has found someone to share her life with that will love her and treat her with respect. It is so different having a little sister get married, surreal in a way, I just can't believe that juju bear is married. She looked beautiful and so happy! It was great to spend so much time with my family as I was there a whole week. My Aunt Gina and Uncle Steve and Grandparents from KS were out, so nice to visit and I was able to visit with my Grandma Deane as she rode back and forth to Vernal with me. Hailey and her friend Jared stayed the weekend and I was able to catch up with Luke, boy how he is stepping up now that he is the only one at home. I loved the time spend with my Mom and Dad, Mom and I were able to be together a lot, and it was wonderful. The boys loved playing with Kolby and Kevin! To top it all off Missy had her baby and he is adorable! The pregnancy was not without complications and the recovery will be long but he healthy and beautiful. Congrats to the Winterton Family. I guess I should mention that the 9 hour drive home is not one I particularly look forward to and after driving through white out conditions for over and hour and having Dallin throw up all over the back seat with 7 hours to go we were happy to be home safe and sound. It was worth it though, there is nothing better than being with family!

I'm a Mess

Recently we took a trip to Neola to visit my family. It was great to see Ross's family as we stopped in Twin on the way down. The boys were good for being in the car driving for 8+ hours. Dallin did learn that he was able to wiggle out of his car seat and wave to the cars behind us, I was quite vocal with him when I saw him trying to stand up in the back seat as a cop car drew near. Our visit was busy as we did some painting for Julie. I loved visiting with everyone. Dallin absolutely loves to play with his cousins and as you can see it is fairly muddy on the farm right now. My mom came into the house and said you better come see this, I stepped outside and listened as Dallin proclaimed, "my hands are muddy, my shirt is muddy, my nose is muddy, I'M A MESS" it was a hoot.

On the Move

Reed has found some speed and loves to crawl around the house, he is especially fond of my plants and I find myself sweeping up the dirt several times a day. Recently he discovered that he can play on his knees and pull him self up if standing close to objects, he gets such a thrill and his smile is contagious! Reed is also into solids and loves to eat crackers of all kinds. Other things he is discovering is that he can clap his hands and ruin whatever Dallin is involved in, especially his train tracks and he is a master at turning the tv off. You'll hear Dallin saying NO NO Baby, I try to come quickly before it gets physical (we're working on it!!!)
