That's right, Mary Christmas! Last week in church Dallin colored a picture of the Christ Child and his Mother Mary. When asked by his Grandma Jan who the picture was of he replied, "Jesus and Mary, Mary Christmas." How fun it is to have little ones as we celebrate the birth and life of Christ. We wish you all a wonderful season.
Across the street from our home is the Elementary School, and a community park. The boys loved exploring their new surroundings! Dallin loves to play on the see-saw, and Reed loves to swing!
It's now Thanksgiving time around our house until we've actually made that pumpkin pie. The boys were great help this year, Dallin was especially good at cutting out our leaves. We also started a new tradition this year. On the Sunday before Thanksgiving we set our table with a new clean table cloth. On that table cloth we wrote our names, what we are thankful for, and the date. I look forward to getting it out each year and hope it will become something the kids look forward to each year. 
The first snow fall of the season was a beautiful one, with it's large flakes and peaceful air. Dallin had fun throwing snowballs at Ross while he tried to make a snowman - which of course was Dallin's idea. Later that week as the snow started to melt, Dallin came to me and said that the snowman had an owie, as all snowmen do once they start to melt, and that he needed a band aid. Needless to say we went out side and tried to fix him up by putting his arms, nose, eyes and buttons back on. Of course our job wasn't finished until we placed that band aid on.
Halloween already, Reed's costume was easy, the traditional German Attire from Ross's mission, Dallin is another story. He wanted to be a Jelly Bean Ghost. So there you have it.
After many requests, here are a few pictures of our home. I just have to say that the boys have been so good through the washing of walls, and unpacking of boxes. My Mom came and spent a week with us when we first moved in and it was great having her here!
Dallin had his first sleepover with his cousing's Kolby and Kevin during Hailey and Jared's wedding. These boys are going to have so much fun growing up together!!!
So it looks like we will be living in the Magic Valley permanently! We are thrilled as Ross's has a new job as the Chief Financial Officer for Jerome ID. He is excited about this position and is excited to learn and get things going. All of our love and thanks to you all for your thoughts and prayers as we where searching for the next step in our lives.
We had a great family trip with Ross's family. His younger brother Scott arrived from Brazil after serving a 2 yr mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and we left the following Monday. We drove to Brian Head and stayed in a beautiful cabin that Ross found for rent. It was so nice to have a base where we could relax, stay cool, prepare meals, and shower. The nicest thing about the trip is that we were all together and had a great time visiting. During our trip we played some games, went on a few hikes, swam, played mini golf and saw a few shows. On Wednesday we went to Tulacon in St. George and watched the production of Annie. The stage and props were absolutely amazing, and the actors performed with a lot of character. We also went to the Shakespeare Festival in Cedar City on Thursday and watched Comedy of Errors, which was quite funny once I completely understood the story line. While in Cedar we were also able to go and see Great Grandma Irene Hyatt for a moment to tell her of our love, it was wonderful to have that opportunity! My favorite day of the trip was spent at Cedar Breaks and Bryce Canyon, I was amazed at the incredible rock formations, absolutely breath taking! The weather was great but neither Ross or I were thrilled about the thought of packing Dallin on our backs for the long hike considering that it was the last of July and he is not exactly the smallest child. We were happy to see that the trail was wide and our stroller was the perfect width - perfect we thought. The trail ended up being much steeper than we had anticipated and it was a good strength endurance test both up and down the trail. Everyone seemed to help out a little and Brent, Ross's Dad, pushed the boys up some real steep terrain. A wonderful adventure I'll never forget! Thanks for the wonderful trip! 
We spent the 4th in Neola, and I must admit that deep down it doesn't really seem like Independence Day without a little rodeo, community BBQ, friends, fireworks, and parade. I love it! We had a great time watching Dallin chase a bunny and chicken at the kids rodeo. Somehow he ended up with a bunny, sadly that night he escaped his box, probably best though seeing I couldn't see taking it home and asking Ross's parents if it could run loose in the back yard. All the cousins had a chance to play with him and Reed absolutely loved the little thing. Dallin even got to make ice cream with Grandma, and he thought that was pretty special! The boys love jumping on the tramp, swinging, and playing with cousins when we're in town. How great to have such a close family, Love to you all.
Early July Ross and I left the kids with my Mom for a couple days so week could hike into five-point, a lake in the High Uintah Mountains. My Dad is very involved in getting the dams and spillways improved and my two sisters and brother-in-law and Dad are working at several lakes this summer. They fly everything in with large army helicopters and I have to say they have quite the set up! Our twenty mile journey was wonderful, being together and enjoying such beautiful scenery was a perfect get away. The trail was rocky but well maintained, and the wild flowers were so brilliant and plentiful, especially for July, what a wet year it has been. It was great to see my family and meet the other's they are working with. We were able to get in some fishing too, I absolutely love being in the Uintahs and it brought back so many memories, some of the happiest times of my life have been spent on a horse, by the water, or in a tent a million miles from everyone (at least that's how if feels - so peaceful).
