Thanksgiving

This year's Thanksgiving was at the Hyatt's. Scott and Tristan, and Michael, Julie and Aiden were also there at Mom and Dads. We had a great day and are thankful for such wonderful families!

Graysons 1st Hair Cut

My little boys is growing up so fast! We cut his hair just before Thanksgiving, what a handsome little guy!

Girls Weekend

This year for our annual girls trip we met in Ogden and went ice skating. When we were little this is one of the things we looked forward to the most! We loved ice skating on the canal during the winter! We thought we were really good too, wich if funny looking back. Hailey and Julie even had double bladed skates when they were real little. We had a great time, and no one took a dive. That night we stayed in a little condo up Ogden Canyon. We watched a chick flick, painted our toes and ate a ton of popcorn. Saturday we did a little shopping and then lunch before heading home. I look forward to this trip every year, we had a great time. The drive home was another story. I was nearing Snowville, 1.5 south of Twin when Ross called and said Reed had taken a fall and wondered if we had any children's medicine? A call later to check on him and I find he was taken to the ER. I wanted so much to be with him, and felt so bad that I couldn't do anything at all! Keep reading to hear the rest of the story... I

Reeds ER Trip

My poor baby! This is what I saw as I entered the ER. I had expected a little blood and a sad little boy, but not this! He was so swollen and exhausted. Reed had been running in Grandma and Grandpa Hyatt's basement when he tripped and hit his face on their stone fireplace ledge. Ouch! It seperated his upper lip from his gum. He was so dehydrated that after attempting an IV 6 times they put him out wiht a shot. I quickly had to sit down upon seeing the inside of his mouth. Thankfully Ross had a stronger stomach than I did. They stitched him up and it was a week of pudding and soft foods for Reed. He was so brave and the nurses kept telling us how amazed that he wasn't just screaming the whole time with the extent of his injury. Not fun, but he healed well and not even a scar to show off! Love you Reed!

Halloween Time

I tried very hard to make Halloween fun this year. It is my least favorite holiday by far! The boys had so much fun in their costumes. Reed especially loved dressing up as his hero, and idol Buzz Lightyear. We had fun decorating pumpkins, plus I got smart and found one great foam kit from the dollar store that did all our pumpkins. Dallin's school had a carnival full of games, face painting and a cake walk. We also attended the annual trunk-or-treat at the church, and the boys were able to go to a few houses to trick-or-treat. We even decorated our door for the occasion. We also spent one afternoon with some friends picking raspberries to make jam with. They had a great little hay maze for the kids to play on and they had a blast!
