Sleepy Baby

Reed seems to have a slightly weaker immune system than Dallin does. It seems like he has had a cold the entire winter season. I find him often ready for a nap. I figured it was time I started taking some pictures so here they are. The last picture's story is good though. The boys had been playing upstairs while I cleaned downstairs. Dallin came down to color about 30 min later I wondered where Reed was, he usually followed Dallin within a few minutes. I walked upstairs and looked in all the rooms, then again, I started yelling for him, throwing apart Dallin's fort of blankets and couch cushions, terrified that he was underneath the mass not breathing. Upon not finding him I continued to run from room to room, searching closets, corners, under beds. Ready to call 911, and frantically screaming I found him still asleep atop my hamper in our closet, which I had already looked in twice while yelling. I scooped him up and just held him while he slept, thanking God that he was alright. He is good at scaring his momma! Oh how I love his skinny buns!

Couponing

That's right I love to coupon. When my Dad was here he asked if the paper boys dropped all the papers off at our house and the neighbors had to come get own...I get 5 Sundays and love the clipping, and organizing that follows. Yes I have a folder full of baseball card sheets with tabs, table of contents, the whole thing. I had to laugh. Here is a couple of purchases this last month. Maybe not the best, but I was still thrilled!

Home Depot Saturdays

These boys love going to Home Depot on the first Saturday of the month. Dallin especially looks forward to going, every time we drive by that orange building he makes sure I know it!

A Trip to the ER

Dallin had his first and hopefully only run in with our counter tops. He was running around the kitchen when he slipped and on his way down smacked his cheek on the edge of our rough granite. Luckily we had friends over playing games and we were able to leave everything quickly, even Reed. We were amazed at how brave he was. By the time we got the ER he had stopped crying and was very calm. Of course it hurt when the nurse had to clean his wound, and the numbing process was painful. We asked him what his bracelet said and while studying it he stated, "Dallin Hyatt is brave". Oh it was cute. We wanted for about an hour for the codeine to kick in. The hardest part of the night came when they gave him the stitches. He only needed 3, but it was gut wrenching. It took three of us to hold him down and he was screaming doctor doctor, no no, stop doctor stop. I was so glad then it was over and we could just hold him in our arms and tell him that his owe was going to get better. Later the nurse told him that he was sorry they had to do that to him, and he responded with yeah, you hurt my feelings. Once we got him home he slept until 8:30 the next day and I told him we could just stay home and have fun but he insisted we went to the library. A few of the children were curious of course and there was a few times that he stuck his fist into the air and stated that he had to go to the hospital, luckily he didn't hit anyone, but he was a little feisty for sure. He enjoyed your phone calls and grandma and grandpa Hyatt brought over a get well present. Here are some pics we took with Ross's phone, it was a good way to entertain Dallin as we waited.

Bits and Pieces

Here are some random photos of the boys. They can be messy eaters and frequently find ways of getting down the messy snacks while I'm in the shower. There's also a photo of Dallins giraffe, one day he told me that it was tired and needed to go to bed, this is were I found Jeffrey. And there is nothing more precious than a sleeping child.

City Treasurer

On January 5th Ross was swore in during the city council meeting as the new City Treasurer. The new mayor and council members were also made official. We're proud of you honey.

Christmas Day

Santa came to visit the boys this year. I guess they were pretty good after all. Dallin was excited that Santa had eaten the jelly bean he left for him, and that he had even left some for him in his stocking. It was a delight to watch the boys open their gifts. My parents gave us a trampoline, and I am so looking forward to spring time when we can set it up and let the kids play. My nephews got 4-wheelers and it was fun to watch them ride a little. We all went to my Grandma Deane's for lunch and we were able to see all of my aunts and uncles, along with many of my cousins and their kids. What a blessing to have family.
